Google just revealed the most searched words of  year 2022

As we welcome 2023, it’s a good time to reflect on the events of the past year. Google has recently released its list of the most searched terms on its search engine for 2022. The top search was for Worlde, a popular online game in which players try to guess a word through multiple attempts. The game was eventually purchased by the New York Times for a significant sum. The second most searched term was “India vs England,” referring to a sporting event, specifically a cricket match between the two countries in July 2022. The third most searched term was for Ukraine, which has been deeply affected by war since February and has been a major topic in the news.

The loss of the British sovereign was deeply mourned by her subjects and many people globally. In a year marked by political events, it is not surprising that “election results” was the third most popular search on Google.

The top two searched-for places were Buckingham Palace in London and Big Ben, whose bells have recently been restored after five years of renovations. The Great Pyramid of Giza, which has captivated people for over 4,500 years, was the next most popular search. France also had several landmarks that made the top 10, including the Louvre Pyramid in Paris and the Palais Idéal in Hauterives.
