BDO assures reimbursement to affected clients after hacking incident

Several BDO consumers have disclosed on social media how their bank accounts were targeted and became subject to internet hacking, resulting in financial transfers ranging from P25,000 to P50,000 conducted without the authorization of the bank’s owners and depositors, while the matter stays in the mainstream media.

BDO reacted immediately to these incidents, issuing announcements about the ongoing cyber-attack.
BDO also advises clients to update their passwords in order to increase account security and prevent fraudsters from gaining access to their hard-earned money. Furthermore, BDO promised that all impacted innocent consumers will be compensated for their losses.
BDO continues to advise customers not to disclose login information such as usernames, passwords, or one-time passwords (OTP). Clients are recommended to update their online bank account passwords on a frequent basis for enhanced safety and security.
